The 2009 French horror film "The Horde (French: La Horde)" was co-written and directed by Yannick Dahan and Benjamin Rocher. It stars Claude Perron, Jean-Pierre Martins, Éric Éboué, and Aurélien Recoing.

French police officers seek revenge after a colleague is murdered by a notorious drug dealer. He is hiding in a dilapidated high-rise building in a rundown and corrupt area of Paris. The police raid the social housing complex to capture him, but the operation fails, and the team becomes captives. Suddenly, both sides face a completely different enemy: zombies. The police and criminals must now form an uneasy alliance to survive the undead's attack.



The film was shot in Paris, France, in 2008 and released in 2009. It premiered at the London FrightFest Film Festival on August 28, 2009, and was released in France on February 10, 2010, in 200 theaters. In December 2009, IFC Films acquired the U.S. distribution rights, and it was also screened at the Sitges Film Festival in 2009. The film had a limited theatrical release in the U.S. in August 2010.

It won the Best Screenplay and Best Special Effects or Cinematography awards at the Fantasporto Film Festival. The film received mixed reviews from critics, holding a 45% approval rating based on 20 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, with an average rating of 4.81/10.
