Stacy: Attack of the Schoolgirl Zombies | 2001

Stacy (ステーシー, Suteishi, or known as Stacy: Attack of the Schoolgirl Zombies) is a Japanese horror-comedy film released in 2001. The film is based on a novel by Kenji Otsuki and directed by Naoyuki Tomomatsu. The story revolves around teenage girls turning into zombies. Additionally, Kenji Otsuki not only appears in the film but also his band 'Tokusatsu' provides the music for the movie.
The catchphrase is "A pure love that descends from the new century, thrilling."
In the near future, the world is engulfed by a strange disease affecting all girls aged 14 to 16.
The victims first experience a pleasant and dizzying state known as "Near Death Happiness" (NDH or 臨死遊戯状態) before dying. A few minutes after death, the victims resurrect as flesh-eating zombies called "Stacy." These Stacys wreak havoc until they are dismembered in an act known as "Repeat-Kill" (re-kill).
The government has organized an untrained "Romero Repeat-Kill Squad," which roams around in garbage trucks tasked with eliminating the Stacys. Legally, Stacys can only be re-killed by loved ones or the Romero Repeat-Kill Squad.
Research has revealed that the key to the Stacy phenomenon lies in a substance called "Butterfly Twinkle Powder" (BTP or butterfly-like brightening powder) that accumulates on the skin of the Stacys.
