Corpse Killer | 1994
Corpse Killer is a horror-themed rail shooting game developed and published by Digital Pictures. It was released for Sega CD, Sega CD 32X, 3DO, Sega Saturn, Windows 95, and Macintosh computers. As an interactive variant of the zombie movie genre, it utilizes live-action full motion video, similar to other games developed by Digital Pictures. Reviews of the game have been mixed, with common criticisms focusing on repetitive gameplay and low video quality; however, many reviewers enjoyed the humorous aspects of the cutscenes. Corpse Killer was the first CD game released for the Sega 32X. It has since been remastered for Steam, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
Story: An unnamed U.S. Marine is air-dropped onto a tropical island to carry out a secret mission. After being bitten by a zombie, the Marine encounters a charming female reporter and a Rasta driver. Four of his fellow soldiers are captured by Hellman and turned into zombies. To rescue his comrades, the Marine must infiltrate Hellman's base and shoot them with bullets coated in a substance extracted from the datura plant to revert them back to human.
